Sauna stoves by Helo. How do they work?
The online store Sauna Amilano offers a diverse selection of thermal equipment for saunas and bathhouses - electric and wood-burning sauna stoves. If you need a classic sauna stove, we recommend paying attention to Kastor, Harvia, and Helo sauna stoves. Electric sauna stoves are presented in a larger assortment: Helo, Sawo, Tylö, Doktor Kern, as well as Harvia sauna stoves.
We would like to focus our attention on Helo electric sauna stoves and provide some recommendations for their use. To control the device, you will need a thermostat and a timer. With these devices, you can set the temperature and the required operating time. To adjust the temperature, you need to turn the thermostat's knob about two-thirds of the scale (this way, you will figure out which scale suits you best). The normal temperature in the sauna is approximately 60 to 90 degrees Celsius (140 to 194 degrees Fahrenheit).
If your sauna stove has an external control panel, you can also control the thermostat and timer with it. To turn on the sauna stove, turn the timer knob clockwise through the 1st scale and then back until you hear a click. Always make sure that the tank is filled with fresh and clean water. Typically, the sauna will heat up within half an hour. Before entering the sauna room, it is best to take a shower (without drying off!). To allow for air circulation, you may need to open the ventilation slider as needed.
Helo sauna stoves heat up the sauna room quickly. It is not recommended to stay in the sauna room for too long: it is sufficient to warm up and sweat, then take a shower, clean your skin, and relax. It is advisable to stay in the sauna room for five to fifteen minutes. The duration of your stay in the sauna solely depends on your comfort. If you ever feel uncomfortable, you should exit immediately.
The humidity in the sauna is low (approximately 10%). Therefore, if you want humid air, you need to pour water on the stones (humidity can increase up to 25%). To finish the sauna session, set the timer to "0". You can leave the thermostat as it is because you will likely want to use the same temperature in the future.
