HARVIA VIRTA Finnish Heater in a classic rectangular shape is a premium electric heater for public & private saunas. Available in three versions:
HL70 (6.8 kW) - for rooms of 5-10 cubic meters. The maximum weight of stones is 50 kg.
HL90 (9.0 kW) - for steam rooms at 8-14 m3. Permissible weight of stones is also 50 kg.
HL110 (10.8 kW) - for steam rooms of 9-18 m3 in volume. The maximum mass of stones is 70 kg for this heater.
The height is 81 cm, the safe distance up to the ceiling is 110 cm. Thus, the heaters are suitable for steam rooms of at least 190 cm in height. The safe distance from the front-end to the walls and to the shelves is 30 mm each. The width of the design of all three versions is the same: 45 cm.
Electric Sauna Heater of this series is provided without a control unit and stones, they are purchased separately.
Specific Characteristics of HARVIA VIRTA Heater
This HARVIA VIRTA Heater has been created on the basis of the operating experience of previous HARVIA versions. It has a number of significant features.
Easy to install and maintain. A distinctive feature of the design is the service hatch, which is placed on the front-end panel. In order to pull it out for checking or replacing of the heating elements, there is no need to remove the stones from the heater.
Maximum protection of the heater’s working elements. In addition to protection measures against short circuit happened, these heaters have another peculiarity. In this version, stones and heating elements are out of touch, thus, it ensures a longer service life of both. Be careful: during the operation of the heater, it is necessary to use only the stones that are recommended for this performance. For HARVIA VIRTA HL70-110 version, their dimensions should be no more than 10-15 cm. We recommend buying the products of the same brand.
The possibility of regular use. Since the heating elements are well protected and the design itself is fireproof, the HARVIA heater can be used daily, for up to 12 consecutive hours. This feature enables you selecting this product for public saunas.
Heating Control Units of this series
To control the device, we recommend purchasing one of the following remotes.
HARVIA CX110 (2.3 to 11 kW). A simple control unit allows you to adjust temperature (40-110 ֯ C), lighting, set operating time. There is no possibility to control the ventilation. A sensor panel can be installed in any room of the sauna.
If you want your electric sauna heater to work even more efficiently, pay attention to a newer model of the remote.
Harvia Xenio CX170 (2.3 to 17 kW). With this remote you can control the temperature: the control range is from 40 to 110 degrees Celsius. It is possible to install two temperature sensors to get the most accurate results. The device allows you to adjust the operating time (in the range of 0-12 hours); also, it enables you control the ventilation and lighting. This is a new control unit version, which has already proved to be excellent. It is great for home and public saunas.
