The Harvia Legend 300 is a wood-burning sauna stove and requires careful planning before installation. It is specifically designed for sauna cabins with a volume between 14 and 28 m³. Selecting the correct sauna room size is essential. A stove that is undersized may fail to heat the sauna effectively, while an oversized stove may create an unbalanced heating environment and reduce user comfort.
The maximum permitted stone capacity is 260 kg and this limit must not be exceeded. During installation, sauna stones should be placed carefully and evenly to ensure sufficient airflow between individual stones. Overly dense stone packing can obstruct air circulation, negatively affect combustion efficiency and impair heat distribution throughout the sauna room.
Since sauna stones are not included with the stove, suitable stones must be purchased separately. Harvia sauna stones with a diameter of 10–15 cm are highly recommended for achieving optimal results with this model. These stones have been selected specifically for the demands of wood-burning sauna operation and the large thermal storage capacity of the Legend 300.
The combustion chamber is designed for firewood up to 47 cm in length. Using wood that exceeds this specification may interfere with proper combustion and reduce operational safety. Dry, properly seasoned firewood should always be used to achieve efficient burning, stable heat output and reduced soot accumulation.
Particular attention must be paid to fire safety, structural requirements, chimney design, smoke gas routing, ventilation and combustion air supply. Every wood-burning sauna stove requires a reliable supply of combustion air and a professionally installed flue system. Installation should therefore be carried out only in accordance with local regulations and by qualified professionals.
The stove dimensions are 600 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 1040 mm high, with a total weight of 94 kg. These dimensions, together with all required safety clearances and protective measures, must be taken into account during planning. Sufficient space should be available around the stove to ensure safe operation and maintenance access.
