Harvia PRO-LT3 – professional combi sauna control unit up to 11 kW
The Harvia PRO-LT3 is a professional sauna control unit for traditional Finnish saunas as well as combi saunas with a vaporizer. It enables convenient control of a sauna heater with a heating output of up to 11 kW and, in addition, a vaporizer with an output of up to 3 kW.
Unlike a conventional sauna-only control unit, the PRO-LT3 supports both dry FIN sauna operation and more humid combi operation. This allows the sauna climate to be flexibly adjusted to different preferences – from high temperatures and low humidity to a significantly milder and more humid sauna climate.
Control for sauna heater and vaporizer
The PRO-LT3 controls three heating circuits with a maximum output of 3.7 kW each and is therefore suitable for sauna heaters with a total output of up to 11 kW. The expansion board already integrated into the PRO-LT3 additionally enables control of a vaporizer with an output of up to 3 kW.
In traditional sauna operation, the sauna works with dry heat and typical temperatures of approximately 80 to 100 °C. In combi operation, the vaporizer is additionally activated. This makes it possible to combine lower temperatures of approximately 40 to 65 °C with significantly higher relative humidity. The maximum adjustable humidity is automatically limited according to the selected sauna temperature.
Temperature and humidity control
The adjustable temperature range of the control unit extends from 30 to 110 °C. The PRO-LT3 can be used in both single-sensor and dual-sensor operation. In addition to the F1 heater sensor with integrated overtemperature protection, the F2 bench sensor is also included with the PRO-LT3.
As an option, an FTS2 humidity-temperature sensor can be used instead of the bench sensor. In this configuration, the control unit measures the actual humidity inside the sauna cabin and regulates the vaporizer according to the measured value.
Convenient time control
The maximum heating time can be set between 1 and 12 hours. Once the selected heating period has elapsed, the control unit automatically switches off the sauna heater for safety reasons. A preset start time of 1 to 24 hours is also available, allowing the desired sauna operation to start after a defined delay.
An integrated timer with an acoustic signal can, for example, be used as a reminder for the next sauna infusion.
Automatic night-drying program
After combi operation, the PRO-LT3 automatically starts a night-drying program. This supports drying of the sauna cabin after a humid sauna session and helps prevent the formation of mould and rot.
The drying duration and temperature can be adjusted. A duration of up to 120 minutes can be set for the drying phase with heating and fan, followed by an additional fan phase of up to 30 minutes. The temperature of the night-drying program can be adjusted between 70 and 90 °C.
ECO mode for sauna breaks
The integrated ECO mode enables sauna breaks of 20, 40 or 60 minutes. During the break, the control unit keeps the system ready so that a pleasant cabin temperature is available again afterwards.
Control of lighting and fan
In addition to the sauna heater and vaporizer, the Harvia PRO-LT3 can control further functions of the sauna cabin. Cabin lighting with an output of up to 100 W can be connected directly. When a suitable incandescent lamp is used, a dimming function is also available.
A fan with an output of up to 100 W can also be connected. This enables the most important functions of a combi sauna to be operated via one central control unit.
Remote start and MySentio Remote
The PRO-LT3 features a remote start interface. Optionally, the system can be expanded with Harvia MySentio Remote. When using a remote start function, the corresponding safety requirements for the sauna heater and sauna cabin must be observed.
Modern separate control panel
The PRO-LT3 consists of a separate power unit and a compact control panel. The control panel measures only 80 × 104 × 38 mm and can be installed inside or outside the sauna cabin. When installed inside the cabin, a minimum distance of 30 cm from the cabin ceiling must be maintained.
The clear display enables convenient control of temperature, humidity, timer, operating mode, ECO function and additional settings. Up to four control panels can be operated with one power unit.
Integrated safety functions
The supplied F1 heater sensor features integrated overtemperature protection. If the sauna heater continues heating due to a fault despite the desired temperature having been reached, the safety device automatically switches off the sauna heater at approximately 139 °C.
