Did you know that electric ovens and wood stoves must exclusively be operated with solid sauna rocks? The reason for this is that the rocks can store enormous amounts of heat, allowing the water that is poured over them to evaporate effectively on the large surface of the broken edges. The broken stones are easy to stack and allow for good air circulation, meaning that the heating elements of an electric oven are not needed. Light (ceramic), soft (soapstone), and smooth (round) sauna stones do not achieve the desired results. Harvia's sauna broken stones are selected with respect to ancient sauna traditions, offering bathers gentle moments in the steam – just as they should be. Choose the appropriate Harvia sauna stones according to the size of your stove.
