Aspen is widely used for sauna decoration due to its low density, absence of resin, and minimal number of knots. The beneficial properties of aspen are linked to its high tannin content, which not only significantly reduces the wood's susceptibility to decay under high humidity but also imparts an incredible and unique aroma. Aspen wood cladding is resistant to cracking, easy to work with, and highly suitable for humid conditions.
